After a 3 year hiatus (thanks Covid), Ladies Day was finally back with a bang this weekend! 🥳
@amanduh.dragqueen , @pianobargeelong, champagne and lots of laughs made up Saturday’s fabulously fun afternoon at the Monahan Centre 🥂💃🏼
A huge thank you to the wonderful event organisers, Shelley Clark, Susan Monahan, Ange Monahan and Lisa Peart. The day wouldn’t be possible without your efforts and it was so nice to see this fantastic, annual event back in its finest form.
We also appreciate all individuals/businesses/sponsors that donated raffle prizes for the day, including the club’s major sponsor, @queenscliffbrewhouse, who were very generous with their donations.
Part of the proceeds from the day will also be donated to local organisation @geelongmums 💗
See you all next year 🤪
The perfect result! A big win over Ammos for #Tom200 🐟 And how good to see the playing group get over to thank the Off The Bench contingent after the final siren #coutacountry
🐟 Clubpeople don’t get much bigger than this. A decorated footballer, respected member of the community, and loving family man. Tom Limb plays his 200th game this weekend. The amount of people who have paid tribute in this video indicates just how beloved Tommy is. Good luck tomorrow mate #tom200 #coutacountry
A very big congratulations goes to our extremely talented 2022 recruit, Charli Nicol (daughter of Senior Football Coach, Rory Nicol) who was just today announced as a member of the 2022/23 Australian U19 Netball Squad.
What a fantastic achievement for Charli; a well-deserved reward for all of her hard work and numerous hours dedicated to the sport.
Well done Charli 👏🏼🏐⭐️
Get on down to the QFNC courts this Saturday at 11.45am (early time for Ladies Day) to watch Charli make her exciting debut for the Coutas A Grade team.
We look forward to seeing her in the red, white and blue ❤️🤍💙 #CoutaCountry

🐟 More than 4,300 km from the Couta Bowl, the Lajamanu Barracoutas pulled on the red, white and blue today in the Big Rivers FL pre-season competition.
🖤❤️💛 This dedicated group of Warlpiri men drive eight hours each week to play football in Katherine. The set of guernseys have been donated by the club for Lajamanu to wear in perpetuity #coutacountry
Our B Grade Netball Team had a fantastic first round win on the weekend, defeating Newcomb 49-26🏐
We also had 15 year-old Edi Henderson-Craig and 17 year-old Tilly Kidd make their B Grade debuts. With 6 players aged 20 or younger, this team may be youthful, but they certainly are a talented bunch 🙌🏼
Congratulations girls - the club loves nothing more than fostering our junior talent and giving them the opportunity they have worked hard for! #CoutaCountry 🐟
❤️ a special moment for two debuting Coutas yesterday 🐟 @solbowtell @jontyrushh #winners
We love our four-legged supporters, especially when they look this cute in our merch 🥺😍
Catch Ralph on the sides lines today with his fur-mum Dani, cheering on Justin and the senior footy team as they tackle Newcomb for Round 1 🙌🏼 #dogsofqfnc
🖤💛❤️ The Queenscliff Football Netball Club is situated on the lands of the Wadawurrung/Wathaurong people, which stretches from the Great Dividing Range in the north, to the coast south of the Werribee River in the east, and along the Surf Coast in the west.
🤝 Traditional Owner Barry Gilson will be offering a Welcome to Country at the grounds before the delayed 2:20pm start of the Seniors football game.
🐟 With Round 1 on this weekend, Thursday night dinners are BACK at the Bowl! Come down from 6:00pm, hear the teams called out and enjoy a meal #coutacountry
🐟 The QFNC Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of club stalwart, Mat Toohey as our Senior Reserves coach for season 2022. Mat brings great experience as a club player to the position and the senior coaching team, led by Rory Nicol, look forward to working with him to develop our young players in preparation for senior football in the years to come.
🏉 Mat is a community minded person who is deeply involved in community sport. He is the current President of the Queenscliff Cricket Club and has been a Junior football coach with QFNC and Auskick Coordinator in recent years. He also brings experience at senior level having been the head senior coach at Belmont Lions Football Club in 2009-10. Mat is a determined competitor and we look forward to him helping to develop that spirit among the playing group. We welcome Mat to the senior coaching ranks at the Coutas and wish him well in his appointment.
🎄 Great to see our netballers and footballers finishing their pre-Christmas training with a joint training session and get-together! Thanks to our new coaches Katrina and Rory for bringing this session together and special thanks to Bellarine Country Butchers for generously donating the burgers and snags for our post-training dinner.
🐟 We wish all the Coutas players, families, sponsors and supporters a very happy Christmas and we look forward to a successful 2022 together #coutacountry
🙌 Two Limbs are better than none!
🐟 Welcome back to the Couta Bowl Blake and Tom Limb, assistant coaches for our senior football side in season 2022. #CoutaCountry
Making waves in 2022 🌊
We’re pleased to welcome Jordy McIvor-Clark to the Couta Bowl for the upcoming senior football season. Jordy has three years of recent VFL experience with North Melbourne as well as spending time in the VAFA and QAFL, and is a proven ball-winner with great endurance.
Looking forward to seeing him in the red, white and blue for 2022 🐟 #CoutaCountry
The Queenscliff Football Netball Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Katrina Daws as our A Grade Coach for Seasons 2022 & 2023 🏐
Katrina has been mentored by some of the state’s best coaches, so she brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and the drive to take on her first Senior Coaching role at Queenscliff 🙌
We are extremely excited to have Katrina back at the Coutas taking the helm, and we look forward to seeing the impact she will have at the club.
QFNC would like to extend a very warm welcome to Katrina, her partner Joey and their daughter Aurora ❤️🤍💙 #CoutaCountry

Last but definitely not least for today’s action, B Grade brought it home in the red, white and blue!
An electric and courageous win, the girls held on until the very end, beating Torquay by a mere 1 goal. Heavy winds and no crowds didn’t shake the girls, digging deep in the 3rd quarter to seal the deal.
Shoutout to Mel Dick for live-streaming the whole game so those of us at home could get in on the action. I’m sure we were all cheering/yelling from our living rooms!
Bring on next week 👊🏼🏐 #CoutaCountry
Sadly it wasn’t the result D Grade hoped for, but it was a successful season for this side nonetheless.
Making finals within itself is an achievement to be proud of - and you sure didn’t go down without a fight! Bring on next year 💪🏼 #CoutaCountry
Our U15/1’s are off to the semi finals, beating Torquay today 17-14 🔥
A tough game with the girls digging deep to pull out a win. They play Ocean Grove next week, so let’s get behind them! (Virtually, because that’s all we can do at the moment 🙈) #CoutaCountry
Warriors just too good in today’s match behind closed doors at Modda. One more round to go – let’s bring it home strong next week 💪 #coutacountry
Heartbreak at Modda for our A Grade girls 💔 A gallant effort nonetheless #coutacountry
Big congratulations to one of long-standing Coutas @loz.calla on reaching 100 (officially recorded) senior netball games yesterday🥇
Fun fact; AFL Barwon only began tracking senior netball games back in 2013, so we can almost guarantee Loz’s unofficial tally would be well past the 200 mark! 👏🏼
We thank you for your years of dedication and contribution to the club. The Coutas wouldn’t be what they are today without you and your beautiful family. Here’s to 100 more 🎉🏐 #CoutaCountry
Unfortunately couldn’t get it done on the footy field, but thanks to everyone who came out today to support a very worthy cause ✋🐟 #coutacountry
✋ Announcing the 'Hand Up' Cup ✋
This week our A Grade netballers and Senior footballers will be playing against Drysdale for the inaugural Hand Up Cup. Our aim is to promote the need for greater education about mental health. In recent years, both clubs have lost much-loved and valued members following battles with mental health.
Queenscliff FNC and Drysdale FNC stand committed to continue the discussion around mental health and this year we begin our contest for the Hand Up Cup. The message behind the naming of the cup is two-fold. It means that individuals can put their 'hand up' and acknowledge that they are going through difficult times. It also encourages others to give their mate a 'hand up' as a show of support with their challenges.
As club members and followers, you will have the opportunity to support us in our endeavours to 'keep the conversation going'. At the game, you will be able to contribute much needed funds to Read the Play; a Geelong based organisation that focuses on youth mental health and community connection. Donations can be made at our canteen and bars.
