Embrace all that is special about community sport
Volunteering can provide a healthy boost to your self-confidence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. You are doing good for others, especially supporting your own kids or grandkids and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment.
Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity and being a volunteer at our club will introduce you to a great cross section of our local community. You do not have to be a member to be a volunteer, but we find as soon as people help out at the club, they will want to forge even stronger links and become members.
We have a great variety of positions waiting to be filled and with many members keen to welcome you to the club. All our new volunteers work with our more experienced members to show you the ropes.
Some volunteer roles include:
>> Canteen support roles
>> Working behind the Bar
(RSA training can be provided)
>> Primary Carers and Trainers
>> Entry Gate stewards
We are particularly keen to attract the recent arrivals into the community as either playing or non-playing members. Join your local football and netball club and embrace all that is special about community sport.
Even better – join the club and become a volunteer to have an even more rewarding and meaningful experience. Drop into the club on Tuesday or Thursday night duirng the playing season or email the club secretary.
